What do you do at the Mission?
I am the Operations Manager for our thrift stores, Thrift Depot.
Tell us about yourself.
I like to play golf in the summer, and be with my friends and family.
How did you end up at the Mission?
I used to be an alcoholic and when I was at my bottom the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission took me in and helped me overcome my addiction with God’s help. I wanted to do all that I could to help the addicted get to a better place with God’s help too. In other words to pay it forward.

That I am actually a nice guy.
What hobbies do you have?
I like to play golf when I can and I like to watch true crime.

Favorite movie would have to be the Outsiders. Television would be anything with true crime and sports.

My boss telling me to stay humble. Best advice ever.
What do you consider your biggest success?
Allowing the Lord to work within me and making me the man I am today.

In 1986 while living in my apartment a family that lived above me was always bringing me food and witnessing to me. I accepted.
Which biblical character do you identify with the most?
Moses-He had to deal with many challenges and diversity which I do on the daily.
What is your favorite memory at the Mission?
I have been working for the Mission for about 10 years and for me it has to be the graduations. So much energy permeates through the entire sanctuary every time.
What do you like most about being part of the Mission team?
That we are all on the same page, bringing others to Christ. This is not like any other job I have had. There is a definite purpose for this Mission and we are all here to help change lives through Jesus Christ. There is nothing more important than that and I feel that all of the staff that works for the Mission would agree.
Why the Gospel Mission?
The answer is why not the Gospel Mission. This place saved my life through Jesus Christ and I will be forever grateful to this Mission for that. I get to pay it forward and that’s a great feeling.
